I live in the Tampa Bay area of Fl and fish salt and freshwater. Which rod would be the best choice for fish upwards of 3-5 lbs. Fish such as largemouth bass, speckled trout and an occasional red fish.

I now have an Iwana and will shortly have a Rhodo for the small rivers we paddle.

I use the Amago for that kind of fishing but I hear good things about the Sato. I hope to give one a try soon.

I usually reach for my Amago when targeting bass, or big rivers with large trout. I love my Sato and landed my largest trout with it (20"). I just like the backbone of the Amago when fighting bass. Especially since they tend to dive into the weeds and rocks.

I'd say Amago as well. It's the one model I need to "complete" my range of rods.
That said, the Sato handles Florida LMB pretty well as long as you keep the rod tip up during the fight to protect the tippet.
