Very Easy, Dutch Oven Apple Crisp

I had the Webelos Scouts (4th graders) fix this for their "Cast-iron Chef" activity pin. The boys found it quick and easy to prepare, and the parents couldn't believe that the boys were such great cooks.

What you need:
2 cans of Apple Pie Filling
3 packs of Quaker Instant Oatmeal (Maple & Brown Sugar)
1 stick of butter

I had the boys line a 12 inch Dutch oven with aluminum foil... they hate washing dishes as much as I do.
Dump in the two cans of pie filling.
Sprinkle in the 3 packs of oatmeal... no need to stir it in.
Cut butter into pads and place it all over the top of the oatmeal.
Cook for 30 to 45 minutes or until you smell the aroma. (350 Degrees... 9 charcoal briquets on the bottom and 15 or so on the lid)
Serve with ice cream or whip cream.

I've also fixed this in a cast iron skillet at home in the oven. Try it you'll like it.
I stole this recipe from chris S on YouTube.... Thanks Chris. LOL
