Newer tapered do I

I have a TenkaraUSA Orange nylon tapered line. It has a loop to connect to the rod, but not the loop to connect to the Tippet. I'm probably skipping over something obvious, but I can't find instruction on what knots to use for that connection. Thoughts? Thanks in advance.

Hi Chriso, tie a small stopper knot at the end of the orange line. Then using the Tenkara One Knot on the tippet, slip that over the orange line, cinch down, and slip that tippet to the stopper knot on the orange line. That holds it on nicely.

I think the information on this webpage will answer your questions. Scroll down to the bottom of the page.

Though of course you could use a different stopper knot or sliding loop knot of your preference, that maybe different from the ones shown on the webpage, and work just as well.

Tenkara Knots video- demo by Daniel from 2012 I'm not sure if he still uses the loop to loop connection or the clinch knot or Davy knot to tie on the fly. I think he may now just do the "one knot" thing TJ wrote about before.

Alternately: This is how Amagonskyアマゴンスキー, aka 木村一成氏 Mr. Kazunari Kimura rigs his line from rod tip lillian to kebari.

Mr. Kazunari Kimura co-starred with Dr. Ishigaki ( 石垣尚男氏) in the DVD Actual Fishing! Tenkara Level Line. (DVD 実釣!レベルライン・テンカラ) issued in 2008. Making him, I believe, someone who knows a popular and effective way of setting up a tenkara rig.
