Sure that'll work, good thing I went with a Safety pin! The more you drink the worse the cast will be. Could be a winner!

Knothead Trout #20 Alligator Gar is done! It's a gift for Nephew #8. Any comments, curious what you all think?

The alligator looks great. The star shaped knot is pretty cool. I like how you left it right in the middle of the top of the mouth, and at the tail. That's going to be a challenging game to land, should be fun.

Those stars were neat, amazing they traveled through the length of wood like that. Tried to work them in as much as I could. I only wish I knew it was an Alligator Gar before I started it. The snout wasn't big enough so I had to splice one on. You have a keen eye! The game is difficult to land. Easy enough to hook but Gar must be played right or it comes unhooked easily because if the long body. I still have yet to catch an actual Gar. The real thing has also proved difficult to land w/ a Tenkara rod and fly too.

My wife and I put our knothead trout on a small raft in our pool and GAME ON! Makes it a little more realistic, having the water involved. Just curious, how many have you created so far?

20! The raft sounds great! I think seeing the SP Kebari undulating in the water would be fun on a miss too. I'm so glad you & the family enjoy the game Jeremy!
