Midcurrent posted a link to Ed Engle's report on his fishing experience with Daniel that I think most will find interesting.

I think it's a very positive report overall and another good opportunity that showcased Tenkara in its own right.

Agreed. It well sums it up. I just don't know that I agree that it is "simple". I think we need to find a different way to describe it - like "elemental" or "fundamental". I don't really find it "simpler" than conventional fly fishing gear. I do think it is more "focussed" for me.

That was a very good read. I know the more I fish my rod, the more I am loving it! The past few trips I have used only the Tenkara style flies and have done very well on panfish.
