Has anybody ever thought about tenkara for bonefish? Ive been thinking lataly about maybe using a Yamame rod and heavier level line that is longer than the rod w/ 5x for bones... any thoughts?.... Am I an idiot?

That's awesome! Bet that was one heck of a fight! I'll have to try my hand at one if I ever get the chance to head south...

Not something I'd encourage, but, as you see, it has been done! :)

Hey, this might not be the right place to put this, but have you checked out Loon Outdoors new product called Fly Spritz 2? Its supposed to be a really good floatant and is environmentaly friendly (water based). Any users?

Bonefish on a Tenkara rod :?:

Like the LCpl said to the Gunnie....
"Re-enlistment?, Yea, I thought about it.
Thought about it, laughed about it, and forgot about it".

We're taking our Tenkara rods to Christmas Island...
Casting distance is not the problem with bone fishing...
Hopefully the bonefish there will be smaller than the ones in Hawaii.
What's going to be fun is the Lai (queen fish)
And the thousands of To'au..........
I can't wait.
Why let the truth stand in the way of a good fish story.
