Tenkara Fishing - River Coln United Kingdom

i fished the river coln (chalk stream) on friday (23rd July)

the river level was very low due to the lack of rain we have had in the UK recently, and as the river is a chalk stream the water clarity was like vodka. we seemed to spoke most of the fish, even the slightest movement or shadow cast over the water spooked the fish.

the weather changed during the day, as the cloud rolled in late in the morning.

the day turned out great. 15 brown trout caught in total with the largest being 13 inches. i was so impressed with the tenkara rods, they handled the fish extremely well. i have decided now to pack my western fly rods away and concentrate on tenkara fishing.

i think i have managed to attcah a photo of one of the brown trout caught on the Tenkara Iwana.

Kind Regards

Sounds like a great time! Welcome to the Tenkara madness!

"Casting for Heros" - is that for war veterans?
