The first, larger picture of a fish is a stocked brook trout, and the second is a wild brown. I don't believe we have any Dolly Vardens on the East Coast. I don't know much about those.
But I will say this. I have yet to be in a stream around my home without catching at least one surprise wild brown. I am amazed how they elude most fishermen.
