I woke up this morning to a beautiful sunny day; so I decided I had to get down to the stream even if only for a little while.

When I arrived I was greeted by high flows from yesterday's rain and warm temperatures, which melted most of the snow around here.

To put this in perspective I usually fish this pool from those rocks in all the white water on the left. This typically sedate little stream had turned into a raging torrent, with water levels easily up several feet. Stream temperature was about 35 degrees, air temp was 42. I didn't have high expectations, but did manage to catch this little guy in some calm water near the bank below the dam:

Congratulations. It was 50 degrees here in Michigan on Sunday. Might of set a high for the day.

I can't wait for my Hane to arrive.
