We are in the middle of a blizzard here in MA and I just topped off the bird feeders and distributed peanuts for the squirrells and bluejays. I barely made it back to the deck before the little men in the gray suits were all over the peanuts. Had an idea.
Tied 20 feet of 15# Sunset Amnesia to the Ayu and attached a peanut by its waist with a clinch knot. Too wind resistant but finally managed to hit the edge of the peanut pile. A long cold wait but finally had a hit and set up on a nice fat squirrell! Had him on for maybe two seconds.
Winter has yet to start here and already cabin fever is rearing its ugly head!
Stay warm friends and enjoy the holidays......

That's funny Stephen. Never thought about fishing for other species of animals before.

How about a 4' Tenkara for cat-fishing in the living room? I use the tip from an old Ugly stick and some yarn. The cat gets the drill....stalk ...attack...hang on as long as possible...The little bugger fights like crazy!

By the way....I live in Minnesota.....enough said! Can you say "Shack Nasties" ???
