Winter nymphing

fished a local stream today in sub zero temps. hooked some whitefish and a dolly varden dead drifting egg flies. fun on a 12' 5.5 iwana!

Great photo. I'm going back to Seattle this week for Christmas and hope to C&R a few dollies myself.

Fish like that would make sub-zero nymphing worthwhile. Very nice.

(Added benefit - no guides to freeze!)

Nice fish! I love fishing in the snow. I couldn't find Sherry once on the Owens until I saw her fly rod sticking straight up I the air. She was laying down watching the snow fall. Fun!
